this is quite an exciting post for me, its my very first grocery trip shopping as a vegan! :)
this isn’t a lot of food, but its all i could get with my $40 budget and only me, myself, and i, lugging all this back from the grocery store (boy did i get a workout). later tonight (after work) im going grocery shopping again with my father, with a $50 budget (keep in mind he has to buy food like meat, chips, blah blah blah for himself) im super excited, a couple really nice girls messaged me some staples and ideas of what to buy for a vegan lifestyle, and also i’ve tried my best to research for myself, so i’m confident about my next trip! its taking all my strength not to run back into the kitchen and devour all this food, but this has to last me for a while. 
some of the things i bought (other than veggies and fruit) are:
firm tofu
a sweet potato
almond milk
veggie turkey slices
an avocado
mixed beans
a lot of these foods are very new to me, and im eager to look up some recipes or ideas on who to cook them, and what to cook them with. the tofu and avocado seem to stump me, so a little surfing of the interent will do me some good. also im very excited to try this almond milk, ive read a lot about it and hopefully i fall in love.
